Easy returns, fair refunds — your satisfaction is our priority

At Royal Vasthralaya, your satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of every saree we send out. However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to make things right — fairly, promptly, and with full transparency.

Our Return PromiseWe offer a7-day return windowfrom the date of delivery for eligible items. Returns are accepted only for valid reasons as listed below, and all return requests must be accompanied by an unboxing video as proof.

1.Mandatory Unboxing Video Requirement 🎥

🎬Unboxing Video is Mandatory for All Return & Damage Claims

To protect both our customers and our business from fraudulent claims, Royal Vasthralaya requires a continuous, unedited unboxing video for every return, exchange, or damage claim. This policy helps us resolve disputes quickly and fairly.

What your unboxing video must include:

  • Begin recording before opening the package — show the sealed parcel, the Royal Vasthralaya label, and your order ID clearly

  • Record the entire unboxing process without pausing or cutting the video

  • Show the product(s) clearly — all angles, the tag, the fabric, and any defect or damage

  • Show the invoice/packing slip included inside the package

  • The video must be a single, uninterrupted recording — no editing, no cuts

How to submit your unboxing video:

  • Send the video via WhatsApp to our support number within 24 hours of delivery

  • Or email it to returns@royalvasthralaya.com with your Order ID in the subject line

  • Video file size limit: 100 MB. Use Google Drive or WeTransfer link if file is larger.

⚠️ Please Note: Return and refund requests submitted without a valid unboxing video will not be eligible for processing under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made to this requirement.

2.Eligible Reasons for Return

We accept return requests only under the following valid circumstances:

  • Wrong Product Delivered: You received a saree different from what you ordered (wrong colour, design, or fabric).

  • Defective or Damaged Product: The saree has manufacturing defects, tears, stains, or was damaged during transit.

  • Missing Items: Your order is incomplete — a blouse piece or other included item is missing.

  • Size / Description Mismatch: The product significantly differs from the description or measurements mentioned on the product page.

⚠️ Returns Are NOT Accepted For:Change of mind · Colour variation due to screen display settings · Minor weave/texture variations that are natural to handloom fabrics · Products that have been used, washed, or altered · Products returned without original tags, packaging, or invoice · Returns initiated after 7 days of delivery · Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" on the product page

3.Return Process — Step by Step

  • Step 1: Record your unboxing video immediately upon receiving your order (see Section 1 above).

  • Step 2: Contact us within 7 days of delivery via WhatsApp or email with your Order ID, the reason for return, and the unboxing video.

  • Step 3: Our team will review your request within 2 business days and confirm if your return is eligible.

  • Step 4: Once approved, we will arrange a pickup from your address at no extra cost. Please keep the item in its original condition with tags and packaging intact.

  • Step 5: Upon receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will process your refund or exchange within 5–7 business days.

4.Exchange Policy

We offer exchanges for eligible returns subject to availability. If you would like a different size, colour, or product in exchange, please mention this when raising your return request. Exchanges are processed on a best-effort basis based on current stock availability.

Exchange ShippingFor approved exchanges, Royal Vasthralaya will bear the reverse pickup cost and re-shipping cost. No additional charges to you.

5.Refund Policy

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed as follows:

Shipping charges and COD handling fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective product).

6.Non-Returnable Items

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Sarees marked as "Final Sale," "Clearance," or "Non-Returnable" on the product page

  • Customised or personalised sarees ordered with specific blouse alterations

  • Products that have been used, washed, dry-cleaned, or altered after delivery

  • Products returned without the original tags, packaging slip, or invoice

  • Items for which no unboxing video was recorded or submitted

7.Cancellation Policy

Orders can be cancelled before they are dispatched. To cancel an order, contact us immediately via WhatsApp or email with your Order ID.

  • Before Dispatch: Full refund processed within 3–5 business days.

  • After Dispatch: Cancellation is not possible once the order has been shipped. You may initiate a return after receiving the product.

  • COD Orders: Please avoid placing COD orders if you are unsure — repeated rejections of COD deliveries may lead to COD being restricted for your account.

8.Dispute Resolution

If you believe your return or refund request has been unfairly rejected, please escalate your concern to our senior support team at escalations@royalvasthralaya.com. We will review your case within 3 business days and respond with a resolution.

All disputes will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in [Your City], [State].
